52 Weeks of Colour-Periwinkle!

I was scratching my head over what to wear for this weeks challenge. I thought it would possibly be something soft as we are stepping into pastel colours this week. I first tried to put together something slightly more edgy using periwinkle which ended in a total fail.

It wasn't until I attended a SL wedding over the weekend (which was lovely btw) I got my idea.

While waiting for the lag to allow the bride to tp in I had one eye on TV.  Kate and William's upcoming nuptials were being discussed ( and how much it was costing) I thought hey if it's got to be pastel and girlie why not go the whole nine yards with the ultimate girlie dress. I was also pondering  the amount of L$'s some people spend on their special SL day.

In keeping with my frugalista manifesto (and the fact I am not getting SL married anytime soon) I utilised some items I already had and some bits and bobs from The Marketplace.

The dress was 25L$ ,the short veil was free and part of a wedding dress package, the bouquet was a dollarbie and the long veil is part of a fancy dress costume which doesn't seem to be available now, I looked and couldn't find it.

52 Weeks of Colour-Eggplant

The eggplant, aubergine, melongene, brinjal, or guinea squash (Solanum melongena) is a plant of the family Solanaceae (also known as the nightshades) and genus Solanum.

Tearing myself away from Wiki. I am a bit late this week, busy busy busy so here we go.

 

 Digging deep into my inventory I came up with a combination of a eggplant/auburgine/purplish palette of colours.

I built the outfit around the shirt from Aoharu, an oldie but a goodie, I tried a couple of different skirts and nothing was working for me until I pulled on the handkerchief skirt from The Secret Store which is an old hunt gift I think.

I had been to have a look at The Dressing Room Blue's anniversary event and helped myself to both of the Exile hair packs. The updo accompanied by the shirt and skirt made me think of that stylish girl at the office (you know the one we all hate/admire in equal quantities)

Finishing with a great pair of shoes and because I was standing in the vicinity of a computer and had important office type work to do (note from editor-yeah right! you are wiki surfing for useless information) a pair of glasses from Hoc to finish off my Asia pretends to be clever whilst wearing purple/aubgeringe/eggplant.

The desk is from a great store I recently found, MMGraffiti's and is only would you believe 2 prims. (computer not included)

52 Weeks of Colour-Asparagus!

Green for go..so I better get going!

Thanks to the one year anniversary of The Dressing Room I cobbled this look together without too much problem. The dress/blouse and the lovely boots are both from TDR.

Today felt like a blonde day and I achieved this by swinging by Shag and picking up The Project Themeory hair which comes in two others colours also (a mid brown and a red)

I took the pics in a beautiful gazebo which includes 10 animations and is a total steal at 10L$ here

52 Weeks of Colour-Banana Mania

I think my graphics card may be giving me the run around as the colour swatch on Luna's blog looked so indistinct. I am taking an educated guess at some shade of yellow? *sighs! anyhoo enough of the procrastinating onwards with Banana Mania.

I settled on a pale lemon and wore the 'Sun of a Gun' dress by Grixdale which I got from the Coffee Break event.

The dress is very cutesy and I opted to wear equally as cute shoes, ankle socks and oversized bag to finish the look.

I got my shoes and bag from Magi Take, a shop I was always at way back in my noobie days and ran at 10L$ each.

I don't own many bags in SL, I put my SL purse and keys in my SL pocket :) so the cheap bag was a must have as I probably wont ever use it again. The socks are a freebie from Nohe.
