52 Weeks of Colour-Mauve!

Hello! Ladies and Gents, here we are at week 34 Mauve!

Another week of someone old, something new (nothing borrowed though) and something, hmm, Mauve?

The top I am wearing is part of the Chloee dress from aDiva, it is a stunning cocktail/party dress and works equally as well as a tank/vest in my opinion.

If you didn't know, or have been living under a SL rock, aDiva's designer AnneJoy Paine has been missing from our SL for a few months. She has been much missed by the devotees of her designs. aDiva is a paid group (250L$) and worth the price as you receive pretty amazing and regular group gifts. The top and mauve coloured jewellery I am wearing are both group gifts at the moment. Welcome back AnneJoy you and your pretty clothes were missed.

Obviously I had to buy a pair of the 'Basic Flared Pants' from The Secret Store. Wow! there is absolutely nothing basic about these pants they are great, the high waist balances out the wide leg beautifully. Are these the best made pants in SL? I seriously think they are at the moment.

My hair is from Boon, I am liking/loving the texture, it looks like you had a deep conditioning treatment on your hair, shiny and glossy (think hair product commercial). You do have to buy the matching hair base separately though.

52 Week of Colour-Mahogany!

I did try wearing head to toe mahogany, it looked like a muddy blob in the middle of the screen, back to the drawing board I went. Eventually I chose a jacket and an abstract print dress which included a mahogany shade.

My usual black or dark brown hair didn't look right with the outfit. After a quick trip to the salon (Lelutka) I was a red head this week. I opted for a lighter toned skin ' Lindsy 'which is/was a group gift from Mambo Chic. The skins there are seriously beautiful and worth a demo.

52 Weeks of Colour-Jade!

Another green shade this week. Jade! I have some jade jewellery in RL  which varies in colour from a milky green to a darker sage green shade.

As not much popped up in my inventory with a Jade search (apart from jewellery) I had to widen the search to simply green and use my best judgement (I didn't want to shop this week for the challenge sorry!)

I went inventory diving and came up with this. I am not sure if all the items are still available. I will LM just in case.

The skirt I am wearing is from PARADISIS and comes with the cute braces (suspenders) which I really like. My tank is an old freebie from Connors and my to die for shoes are from Slink..(takes a moment to admire the fabulousnesssss of the shoes)

My skin is from Zoul a store that is new to me I like the skins here they have both subtle and more OTT makeups.

52 Week of Colour-Denim!

I am fairly on time this week and happy to be not blogging a food colour.

I couldn't decide on which shade of denim to use.  I settled on a light wash and a more typical blue denim.

I started with the shorts from Fr.day, they were part of this week Fifty Linden Friday event (although I got them on Saturday morning GMT) I wanted to use the great jacket again from Mon Tissu simply because it's a great design.

Once I had those on 'Asia The Dress Up Dolly' Western themed stylee jumped right into my head.

After editing a really really old hair/hat combo from W&Y, adding a pair of western style boots from J's and throwing on a leather jacket from Aoharu I was ready to Yeehaw! my way into this weeks colour challenge.

52 Weeks of Colour-Ruby

Ruby Ruby....Rubbbbby..I can't get this song out of my head now.

I knew immediately what I would wear for this weeks colour challenge. It's an oldie but a goodie. I remember when I first saw this dress and it really blew me away and I still love it, such a shame I never go anywhere in SL now that warrants getting all poshed up.

The dress is by Miko Omegamu and her store Icing was one I visited very frequently a few years ago. The design of this dress still holds up and I think it's as great looking now as the first time I wore it (some time in Summer 2009) and still available in store.

I picked the Darla hair up at The Dressing Room Blue's birthday celebration a couple of weeks ago and of course it's gorgeous as is most of the hair from Exile.

52 Weeks of Colour-Neon Carrot!

I have never heard or seen a colour that was described as Neon Carrot (and I don't want to either). The word made me think of radio active bunnies *shudders.

But as I am late late for a very important colour challenge (puts away Alice in Wonderland) here is my version of Neon Carrot.

I have been stalking The Marketplace again for some of this weeks ensemble. My hair/hat and some of the jewellery I found there.

The dress is/was an in- instore freebie at REMY and my geek chic glasses are from Maschienenwerk and I think they were either free or a dollarbie. My flats are from Duh! (10L$)

52 Weeks of Colour-Pink!

Tick Tock...Tick Tock. I am three weeks behind, my reason for this? erm..erm..let me think for a second..got it!!..my dog ate my inspiration? ok yes that's a good and plausible excuse. phew!

I am wearing a mash up of sale items, past cheapies and group gifts.

Check out my jacket it's from Hermony who are currently having a sale (raising money for their RL doggies surgery) the jacket set me back a whole L$25, also available in black and brown. While you are there check out the eyes you wont be sorry you did.

The trousers are the Valentines 2011 gift from DCNY. Not available now I would guess but they do come in other colours and are a great shape with the flare prim attachment blending seamlessly into the pants.

The T-shirt is from a huge pack that I got from Jane and comes in a bazillion colours.

My smexy heels were a gift from Mstyle.

Last but not least the hair I am wearing is from Action and reminds me soooo much of Amy Winehouse's beehive love it!

52 Weeks of Colour-Olive!

More spring like colours Yay!

I am often asked in SL if I am Asian, well nope I am not Asian I just liked the name Asia. To further confuse people this week Asia is doing an Asian inspired Olive.

Sn@tch had another great Sale over the weekend and of course I had to go check it out. I picked up a few things which would have slotted very nicely into this weeks challenge, of all my bargains I particularly liked the Cheongsam. The colour Asia is wearing is one of seven included in the pack.

Belleza sent out May's group gift their new release' Aiko' it was the obvious choice for my Asian inspired colour challenge. The group is L$250 to join and worth it as there are regular skin gifts for both males and females. The group gift comes in four tones I am wearing deep tan, there is a shape included (not worn)

Even though the Aiko skin is beautiful I wanted to add a more dramatic makeup to it I did this with the 'Glitter Liner' in green tattoo makeup by Newdoll Nikolaidis. I picked this up at the 'Another Fundraiser' back in March and have no idea if it's available anywhere now.(sorry to tease you if it isn't available)

I will quickly tell you about the eyes I am wearing..OMG! I love these eyes, they are from BND and are available at The Marketplace. A pack of five eyes all of which are beautiful and all of which are now in my favorites folder cost L$5. While you are there (you really should check these beauties out)grab the demonic eyes from the same seller..worth it worth it worth it.

52 Weeks of Colour-Tangerine

I believe we are at the half way mark in Luna's challenge. I have enjoyed putting together the different colour looks, some for only a few lindens and some from spending a bit more.

This week I took a trip to KissKiss BangBang. Delia Linette has a small range of dresses, shoes, accessories and I noticed she also has skins for sale.

I can't honestly say that I would buy out the whole selection but I really liked the shape of this dress it is 1960s groovy (and obviously available in a tangerine-ish colour). The prices are very low for example the dress was 5L$

 I wanted a nice sharp bob to go with the groovy dress which I found at Epoque, L$275 for a colour pack of five colours (changeable via a hud)

The glasses are part of February's group gift from Deco.

52 Weeks of Colour-Periwinkle!

I was scratching my head over what to wear for this weeks challenge. I thought it would possibly be something soft as we are stepping into pastel colours this week. I first tried to put together something slightly more edgy using periwinkle which ended in a total fail.

It wasn't until I attended a SL wedding over the weekend (which was lovely btw) I got my idea.

While waiting for the lag to allow the bride to tp in I had one eye on TV.  Kate and William's upcoming nuptials were being discussed ( and how much it was costing) I thought hey if it's got to be pastel and girlie why not go the whole nine yards with the ultimate girlie dress. I was also pondering  the amount of L$'s some people spend on their special SL day.

In keeping with my frugalista manifesto (and the fact I am not getting SL married anytime soon) I utilised some items I already had and some bits and bobs from The Marketplace.

The dress was 25L$ ,the short veil was free and part of a wedding dress package, the bouquet was a dollarbie and the long veil is part of a fancy dress costume which doesn't seem to be available now, I looked and couldn't find it.
